Keeping your best friend on a preventive flea/tick program will increase their chances of a long, healthy, parasite free life!
Please apply at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Fleas cause external problems, ( skin irritation, allergies, and/or painful reactions such as flea bite dermatitis) as well as internal problems such as tapeworms or infections from the reaction.
Ticks can also be a problem in that they can transmit "Lyme Disease" and also cause irritation, swelling and/or painful sores and infections especially if not removed properly. (remove the whole tick, including the head, which tends to stay embedded in the skin therefore resulting in problems)
There are many products out there that are safe and effective, ask your vet which preventive/treatment is best for your dog.
Regular grooming is not just a luxury, but a necessity to your dogs overall physical and mental wellbeing. Professional grooming is a critical step in helping keep your best friend free from external parasites.
If your dog arrives at the salon with fleas and/or ticks, there will be an additional charge.
*My grooming area and yard are both treated monthly for parasites.

When your dogs' coat becomes tangled it can be very uncomfortable for them. The tangles then become mats (large clumped areas of hair that a comb can not get through) and the longer they stay there, the harder they are to remove. Mats can cause many problems such as bacteria growth, foul odor, sores and/or skin infections (because the skin can not breathe).
Because mats are harder to remove, it can be very uncomfortable for your dog to be brushed out. If the mats are minimal and your dog will tolerate it, they may be brushed out (20 minute limit). If matting is severe or your dog does not tolerate brushing they will likely be shaved to a short length to start over.
If your dog arrives at the salon with a matted coat, there will be an additional charge.
