Here at "PAWSitive Reflections" we have an average stay of only 2-3 hours for your best friend. It is advisable that you do not feed your dog at least one hour before their appointment to avoid accidents on the grooming table.
Please have your dog take care of potty duties before entering the salon. It is possible that accidents may happen if your dog is nervous or excited.
All dogs must be held, in a carrier or on a secure leash.
Please do not allow your dog to mark anywhere inside the reception area! If possible, please HOLD unnuetered males.
We thoroughly disinfect all work areas, cages and tools after each dog and do not require proof of "yearly" vaccinations. (We do require proof of rabies). Vaccination protocol is up to the owner and their veterinarian; even some veterinarians question how often to vaccinate, therefore we leave it up to each individual owner. As long as you are comfortable with your dogs' level of protection, so are we. Please bring a copy of your dogs' vaccination records to be placed in his / her file.
Bordatella(kennel cough) vaccine is not required but especially suggested if your dog is a puppy, senior or has a weakened immune system. There are many strains of Bordetella and the vaccination may not protect against all of them.
Additionally if your dog is exhibiting any signs of illness (Vomiting, Diarrhea, Excessive coughing. etc...)
Please call to reschedule your appointment if your best friend is under the weather, we understand and will make exceptions!
Keep your dog healthy by visiting your vet on a yearly basis for check ups and/or needed vaccinations.
My personal recommendation for veterinarian services is Dr. John Southerland located at "Kiehl Avenue Vet" clinic. (835-8900) I have used his services for my own pets' for over 10 years, and have always found him and his staff to be caring, informative and helpful in any questions or concerns I may have.
To Avoid Charges.........
Please call at least 24 hours prior your appointment to reschedule so that I may be able to fill your time slot with someone waiting!
In order to keep a stress free, safe environment for your best friend, I groom by appointment only and it very important to keep a timed schedule of each dog in my care.
Your spa appointment is a reservation for service and for the individualized attention I choose to provide to each dog, I can only take a limited number of appointments each day. A missed appointment is a serious loss of income to a small business.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment there may be an additional charge or you may need to reschedule to avoid the appointments following yours to get behind schedule.
*Exceptions may apply if you call ahead when you are running late.
*There will be an additional charge for 2 consecutively missed appointments.
Small Breeds $15
Medium Breeds $20
Large Breeds $30
*You must prepay this non-refundable deposit to schedule another appointment.
Thank you for you understanding and cooperation!
PAWSitive Reflections is a low-volume salon that takes great pride in the safe, comfortable atmosphere provided for each dog in my care.
In order for each and every dog to get their individualized attention during their stay we only keep your best friend for as long as it takes to groom them. At the time you drop your dog off at the salon, you will be given an approximate time(average 2-3 hours) for pick up. I will also call you to give an exact pick up time(approximatley one half hour) before I am finished making your dog beautiful!
Please be advised.....
In the case that you need to leave your dog at the salon longer than the time needed to groom, a daycare fee of $10 will be added to your total bill to accomadate the time spent taking your dog potty and assuring they remain comfortable until you arrive!
*This charge will be applied if your dog has not been picked up within one hour after I have called or the time agreed upon at drop off.
There will be a $20 additional charge for any dog not picked up by closing time.
Closing times do vary daily, but you will be called one hour before closing.
All dogs staying longer than their "spaw" time will be offered water and taken out to potty until you arrive!

"PAWSitive Reflections" believes every dog deserves a chance. I have found that in my over 9 years of grooming dogs that most can be reasoned with and be groomed completely with no trouble. It is not unusual for a dog to not like having their nails trimmed, feet or private areas cleaned, but with a gentle hand and a little reassurance, these procedures can be done without concern. If your dog becomes aggressive to the point that grooming is no longer safe for the stylist, your dog will be sent home and you will be charged full price for their groom.
